Do I need to make an appointment to sell my items?

Accepted Answer

Consignors MUST make an appointment for Monday-Thursday by calling the Good Shepherd's Corner at 361.883.0281.

How often can I bring my items to sell at The Corner?

Accepted Answer

Each consignor may bring items only once a week.
Adult clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories are received according to season. Please check the Consignment Schedule in Consign & Donate.

Question 3

What conditions do my items need to be for The Corner to accept them?

Accepted Answer

Apparel must be laundered or dry cleaned, pressed, in good condition, and on hangers.  No stains, rips, missing buttons, or broken zippers. No dog/cat/human hair on clothing.

Shoes, purses, belts, ties, and hats must be clean and in good condition. Jewelry may not have broken pieces or missing stones.

Household goods, and dishes must be gently used, clean and in good condition.

Can I bring my gently used furniture to The Corner?

Furniture and rug consignments are received by appointment only. Please call the Corner 361-883-0281.
 
Furniture must be clean and in good condition. No broken, stained or dirty items. No tears, odors, or pet hair.
 
Please email photos and dimensions of the furniture to corner6points@gmail.com in reference line put Furniture. This way we can determine if space is available for your items. Include in the email your name and daytime phone number. Someone will call you or reply by email to set up an appointment for delivery.
 
The shop will accept furniture as described when making the appointment. No substitutions or additions unless by prior agreement with the manager.
 
Delivery of Funrniture: The consignor is responsible for delivering and providing the necessary manpower to load and unload heavy pieces.

What items do you NOT accept?

Accepted Answer

We will NOT accept the following items.
Toiletries & Personal Items: Bathing Suits , Clothing with company logos, Children's clothing, Underwear, Uniforms,  Cosmetics, Perfumes, Electric razors, Electric curlers, and Hair dryers
 
Electronics: Audio cassette players and tapes, Cameras, CD players, Computers, DVD players, Fax machines, Keyboards, Printers, Telephones, TVs, Video games, VHS players and tapes.
 
Other: Avon bottles, Bed pillows, Bed mattresses,  Baby items (car seats, bouncers, etc), Bowling balls, Curtain rods, Glass florist vases, Open games with loose parts, Open puzzles, Stuffed animals, and Empty frames.

Question 7

How do I get paid for my consignments?

Accepted Answer

The Corner will work with consignors on an agreed upon price based on the condition and the market value of the item. Consignors may receive up to 50% of the selling price depending on the time of the sale. 
 
Consignor checks for merchandise sold during the previous month will be mailed no later than the 10th of the following month unless the amount due the consignor is less than $5.
